mahAkAla bhagavAn comes under the worship of vIra bhAva.. Even if one starts his journey through vaidIka mArga properly under the able master; after some point, the path of vaidIka mArga turns him to THAT one path that takes one to his desired destination where mahAkAla is the nAyaka..

In kAlikA sampradAyam, first preference goes to mahAkAla only.. Even gaNapati is after him. mahAkAla is to be known as the grand space that devours time and such is the mahattvam of this Swamy. If mahAkAlar is the space that looks like the black cloth, then kAla bhairavar is the wrinkles on it. That is why mahAkAla is to be known as the space and the kAla bhairavar to be known as the time. There is no fusion form of these two as mahA-kAla-bhairavar & all..

To appease mahAkAla, prEtas and vEtAla mUrties has to get appeased first.. Only by passing through them one can enter the gates of mahAkAlar like that of kAlikA vidyA..
