na represents prtvi tattvam, ma represents jala tattvam, shi represents agni tattvam, va represents vAyu tattvam and ya represents AkAsha tattvam.. Thus, by simply chanting this by heart, he understands & attains the panchabhUta tattvam..
Every single aksharam of this shiva panchAkshari has a separate rishi, chandas, dEvatA, dik, kalA, guNa, chakram, prakAsham, karanam & the corresponding vAyu..
This same panchAkshari when altered a little takes one towards nirguNa with the adhAra mahAshakti where it takes one to nirvAyu, nirindriyam, nirguNa and nirAmaya..
How is that it takes one to nirguNa?
Because Om-na-ma is called aksharatryam.. Shi represents feminine energy.. Va represents masculine energy.. Ya represents the neuter gender.. Thus! One’s heart filled with this shiva panchAksharam carries all these traits and also remains devoid of all these traits.. He can remain on grounds within guNa and also shall fly above to nirguNa..
