Kanchana Pitham

From the eyes of tripurA rahasyam, what is the relation of this AdhAra & AdEya with the mirror, reflection & the object (parabrahma)?

The purpose of mAyA is to ensure AdhAra and AdEya remains different with each other. And, this AdhAra will be ambA for the dEvi upAsakAs, shivA for the shiva upAsakAs, bhairava for the bhairava upAsakAs, kAlikA for the kAli upAsakAs, skandan for the subraHmaNya upAsakAs, sUrya bhagavAn for the saura upAsakAs, gaNapati for the gaNapati upasakAs kind of.. Always one must remember there is no difference between the forms of each God.. All God is one or it is THAT one that takes the form of various Gods & Goddesses. Again the difference between the AdhAra that AdEya sees in itself says the work of this mAyA.

Here to avoid confusions, let us have ambA as the nAyikA for this subject. Here, the creation of the worlds happens from her. And, when the end time of her creation comes, all gets absorbed within her. Thus, she becomes the source for the creation & also the dissolution. And, so she remains no different from the worlds that she created.. My maharAj shrI AtmAnandanAtha used to say “Creator is no different from his creation!”.. He usually do not discuss any philosophical subjects with me.. He always let me learn on my own; not by reading books, but by getting close to kAlikA and never spoon-fed me. But whatever that he has taught me are all the precious jewels to hold tightly close to chest.

And, when creator is no different from creation, we must not confine the creator within her creation and we must not conclude that the creation is the limit for the creator. One must understand that the creator is within the creation and also beyond the creation. Creator has no limits. And, the creator may remain even quite opposite to her own creation. She always remains unrecognisable; yet recognisable to some extent. She always remains unreachable even with the great tapas; yet reachable just by the mere thought.

She may not appear real; yet remains the supreme truth. Neither she is different from the man & his reflection nor does she remain united like the light & heat within the fire. An example to know her in this form is the episode of burning the hanumar’s tail where swAmy has never felt the heat; rather he felt chill on his tip of the tail & she made him understand the prabhAva of AdhAra where she as heat remained separate from the fire. She always remains like the mirror & the reflection under the principle – AdhAra & AdEya.

What we see is the world.. And, as long as the man exists, the world exists. When there is no man to see the world, how come the world will exist for nothing?

In precise, as long as one’s mind exists, the world exists for him. The moment his mind gets dissolved with the heart, there is no world for him as he cannot see anything apart from THAT one.

As long as his mind perceives the world, world exists. The moment, his mind “I” gets dissolved and loses its identity, then the world for him gets ceased to exist.

So, what is that made him feel that his reflection in the mirror is his true self?

And, where does his mind & the world that existed before, gets vanished to?

The ONE that made him believe that his reflection in the mirror is the true self is THE ONE that helps him realise his reflection in the mirror is not entirely true and, it is to THAT ONE his mind & the world gets absorbed. And, this ONE to be known as the chit-shakti; which is ambA.

If this I AM that sees the world as the world gets dissolved, then there is no world for him. And, if this same I AM does not wish to see the world as the world, here also, there is no world for him.

What is seen becomes the sight and what is known becomes the form!!

You see your reflection in the mirror. To make yourself beautiful, you look at your reflection and “make that reflection as you” and “the real you become the reflection here”. This is necessary for one to get himself groomed. So, this “I” in the mirror is helping the “I” outside the mirror to get groomed. The outside “I” likes to see the reflection “I” in the mirror and for the outside “I” to get pleased, it needs the mirror. The reflection that you believe to be true looking at the mirror is the world. That becomes your sight. And, you see yourself through the reflection in the mirror. And, while seeing yourself in the mirror, the real you here becomes the reflection. And, you are becoming the sight here in front of the mirror. So, for the reflection in the mirror, you become the world..  And, for you, the reflection in the mirror becomes the world. So, as long as you & your reflection remains, world exists. So, both are to be known as NOT-TRUE. The one who has understood both this scenario is what the true self is!!

To know her, you need this “I” and to know this “I” you need ambA.

How this chit-shakti is equated with the mirror?

We will see in the next article.
