Kalasankarshini Kali – The Supreme Devourer of Time

Kalasankarshini Kali is regarded as the highest of all forms of Kali in Kashmir Shaivism. She is the force that draws time itself towards her and consumes it, making her the devourer of the Kala Chakra (wheel of time). Unlike other manifestations of Kali that act within time, Kalasankarshini Kali exists beyond time, beyond creation and destruction, beyond the constraints of existence itself.

Her Divine Manifestations

  • Srshti Kalasankarshini (Creative Aspect):
In this form, she initiates creation, setting the cosmic forces into motion. She represents the Prakasha and Vimarsha tattvas, the fundamental aspects of reality.
  • Sthiti Kalasankarshini (Sustainer of Existence):
As the force that holds the cosmos in place, she ensures the continuation and stability of the universe while still drawing all time-bound existence toward her.
  • Samhara Kalasankarshini (Force of Dissolution):
She consumes everything, including the supreme cosmic tattvas, leading all creation into total dissolution. Nothing escapes her power—she is the absolute destroyer of all that exists within time.
  • Anaghya Kalasankarshini (The Ultimate Void):
In this state, she exists as Mahāshūnyam (the great void), beyond creation, sustenance, and destruction. She is the absolute stillness before and after existence itself.
  • Bhāsā Kalasankarshini (The Eternal Light):
As the ONE TRUE FLAME OF LIGHT, she is the supreme cause and source of all existence. She is both the origin and the end, the luminous essence that pervades everything and yet remains untouched.
