The glory of Maha Shasta transcends space, time, and region. His divine existence is older than creation itself, and yet, over the centuries, his worship has become largely confined to the southern regions of Bharatavarsha. This, however, does not diminish his cosmic stature.

Shasta is not merely a guardian deity — he is the supreme authority over all Bhutas, including the Pancha Bhutas (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space). Much like Lord Shiva, he bears the title Bhutanatha — Lord of the elemental forces.

In the esoteric traditions, every form of Swami or Amba, before commencing any divine act or movement of energy, offers salutations to Ganesha — the remover of obstacles. But what is often forgotten is that Shasta too is invoked by these very divine forms. He is the stabilizing force, the guardian of dharma, and the protector of divine balance.

Within the Kapalika Kula, Lord Shasta holds a revered position. He is beloved to Bhairava himself, and wherever Shasta is present, Bhairava stands ready in service. Such is the mutual reverence among divine forms — a truth understood only by those walking the inner path.

Sadly, in today’s world, diluted by modernized expressions of bhakti, there are debates — even quarrels — about which deity reigns supreme. But true seekers know:

There is no supremacy where there is unity.
The Devis and Devatas do not operate in ego. They are aspects of one eternal Truth. Neither they need any brand ambassadors..

They are not bound by form or faction — they are expressions of the One Supreme Shakti.
